The Burton Green Residents’ Association was formed in 1979
and the objects of the Association are recorded as:
“Generally to watch over the interests of members of the Association, to secure extension of corporate services as and when required and also to watch all intended developments in the district with a view to making the necessary representation to the authorities concerned.”
All Burton Green Residents are eligible for membership. A small subscription is collected (currently £3 per household) to cover expenses, to maintain a general fund and to support the production of the village newsletter “The Bugle”. A committee is elected annually and all members are volunteers from the community. Committee meetings are held four times a year and new committee members are always welcome!
An Annual General Meeting is held in the Village Hall each October where refreshments are served and residents are cordially invited to hear what has happened over the year,
what issues are current and to voice any concerns.
The Burton Green Residents’ Association receives excellent support and commitment from councillors of all political parties from County, District and Parish Councils.
